Bailey Aortic Rongeur 3.0 mm bite, 5-1/4" (13.5 cm) Bailey Aortic Rongeur is a highly versatile instrument for use in cardiothoracic surgery. This uniquely shaped rongeur features ring handles and a shaft that ends in a 3 mm bite jaw. It can be used for removal of small material from the aorta and aortic valve such as calcifications in stenotic patients. Additionally, it can be utilized for plaque removal from other peripheral regions where there is stenosis. This instrument is available in two styles: straight and angled down.

Rib Shears slightly s-shaped, 13-3/8" (34.0 cm) Bethune Rib Shears are the ideal shears for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures that necessitate clipping of ribs. These shears are slightly s-shaped and feature a very long handle with a smaller head for precise clipping and are comprised of premium German operating-room grade stainless steel.

Rib Shears 10" (25.0 cm) Giertz Rib Shears are optimally designed for cutting ribs in cardiothoracic surgery. The right-angled turn in the neck of this shear allows for increased maneuverability while maintaining the handle out of the surgical field. This unique design allows for the rib to be clipped while still leaving the surgical field open and accessible by taking the handle out of the plane of the ribs. The hook shaped blade allows the contour of the rib to sit in this groove and be cut cleanly.

Rib Shears 10-1/2" (26.7 cm) Gluck Rib Shears are a useful tool in many cardiothoracic surgical procedures. These shears feature curved blades as well as a pivot point allowing for smooth scissoring action. The curved blade is designed to sit along the curved edge of the rib and thus matching its contour for a clean cut.
